Stumpf's Management

Eric Stumpf- is the president of stumpf's gymnastics center.  Eric recieved a degree in physical education in 1976 from canisius collage and was a three -time WNY All Around  high school champion at Kenmore East High School(1970-1972) He coached the men's empire state games scholastic team for six years, the Canisius College  mens  gymnastics team from 1977-1978 and has been teaching gymnastics since 1972.

Kurt Stumpf- Since 1979 he has coached at the high school level, first as assistant coach from Mount St.Mary’sand since 1982 as assistant coach at Williamsville South High School. He has served as head coach for the Section VI Team at NYS High School Championships since 1979. In 1985 Kurt was appointed Women’s Gymnastics chairman for the Empire State Games Western Region. Kurt has also been the Empire State Games Western Region Women’s Open Coach since 1980.

Lisa Stumpf-  participated in competitive gymnastics for eight years; two through YMCA, two with Rines Gymnastics and four years with Stumpf’s. She attended Erie Community College receiving a degree in recreation. Lisa coaches girl’s competitive levels 5-10. Since 1997 she has been the scholastic coach at Empire State Games for the western region and is the Clarence High School Varsity Gymnastics coach.

Daniel Molnar-  competed in gymnastics at Amherst High School from 1984-1987. He was the three time Section VI vault champion and was ranked on vault in the top ten in high school gymnastics in the U.S. in 1986. He has competed in the Empire State Games many times winning gold medals on vault, floor and rings as well as team. Dan started coaching at the YMCA in 1985. He coached at Western NY Gymnastics Academy for 7 years. He coached the gymnastics team for Amherst High School for two years before coming to Stumpf’s in 1994. He has been a coach for the Empire State Games and regional director for the western region since 1995. Dan has coached many state team and individual champions as well as regional champions and national qualifiers.

TEAM AND RECREATIONAL COACHES

Denise Wiesner- graduated from Canisius College in 1977. She was two time National Tumbling Champion (1973-1974). Denise was a member of the U.S Tumbling Travel Team traveling to Africa and Russia. She also competed in the World Championships in Moscow and received two Bronze medals. She is head coach of the girl’s level 7 team.

Leah Recor- competed in USGF gymnastics at Stumpf’s for six years and at Brockport State for four years, where she received a B.S. in Physical Education. She coached at Bright Raven Gymnastics in Rochester for four years. She is head coach of girl’s level 6 , and currently teaches regular classes as well as coaching level’s 5-8.

Steve Martin- competed for Stumpf’s for 7 years. Steve was NYS rings champion 2 years in a row. He graduated from Mount St. Mary’s High School and is currently attending Canisius College. Steve coaches levels 4-6 and has helped coach them to many State Championships.

Joe Buscaglia- has spent 20 years in the sport of gymnastics. He was a NCAA Division I scholarship athlete at Syracuse University from 1993-1997. He was a member of the jounior National Olympic Team in 1990. Joe was the USA National Vaulting Champion in 1991. He currently teaches Health and Physical Education at??????. Joe also coaches all of the Williamsville High Schools Varsity Gymnastics Teams. He coaches the level 7-10 boys teams at Stumpf’s.

Christa Greenberg- coaches all levels of gymnastics classed. Christsa was a competitive gymnast at Stumpf’s and then went to the University of Rhode Island on a full gymnastics svholarship, competing on their Division I Collegiate Team. She is currently the cooridinator of the undergraduate studies program in the Department of Psychology at the University of Buffalo.

Michelle Lazazzero- competed for Western New York Gymnastics Academy, as well as, coaching up to level 8 gymnasts throughout highschool and college. Michelle has been coaching for Stumpf’s for the past five years to include all levels of class participants and Level 5 Team. She holds a Travel and Tourism Degree from Bryant and Stratton Business School.

Kara Buscaglia- was a competitive gymnast at Stumpf’s for 10 years. Kara competed on the Varsity High School gymnastics team at Williamsville South. She was a NCAA Division I scholar athlete at Cornell University and graduated with a degree in Industrial and Labor Relations. In June 2002, she received her Law degree from the University of Buffalo. She is head coach of the Girls Level 5 Team. She is Assistant Coach of the Maryvale Varsity Gymnastics Team.

Kimberly Black- competed in the USGF for a number of years at Stumpf’s, as well as, other clubs. She began coaching for Buffalo Turners while in high school. While attending SUNY Fredonia she coached all levels for Dynamics Unlimited in Dunkirk. Kimberly holds a degree in Theatre from Fredonia, a teaching degree in Art Education from Daemen College and a Masters of Science in Education from Buffalo State. She coaches our Level 5 Girls Team. She is head coach for Varsity Gymnastics at Amherst High School.

Mike Nadrich- graduated from and competed for Williamsville East High. Mike coached at American Twisters in Florida, later relocated to Cranford, NY where he was part owner of Eastern Gymnastics for 8 years. He has been coaching preschool and the boys’ teams. During his 4 years at Stumpf’s he has assisted coaching level 4's.
